In a world where everything is perfect, yet the same day after day, Eve must decide if she wants to live forever in the garden with Adam and never know what lies beyond the walls. When she makes a choice with terrible consequences, the pain of mortality is swift. As she and Adam explore their new world, and her body changes, Eve discovers the sweetness of first love with the man who has always been at her side.
My Opinion:I think it was very daring and creative to take such well known characters and create such a personal story. It was written very well, it kept me interested the whole time. I did have to remind myself several times that this is written as fiction, and the author even has a little disclaimer at the beginning of the book explaining that this is not to be taken as doctrine and that it doesn't necessarily represent her religious beliefs either. My religious beliefs did get in the way several times, I just had to separate them and realize AGAIN, this was written as fiction. I really enjoyed having the characters come to life with real personalities and dilemmas. I liked the way I really connected with Adam and Eve and found myself wondering what it would have been like. I enjoyed this and I am interested to check out some of her other books about religious characters.
